Museum Staff
There are many staff involved
in the day to day operation of the Aviation Museum. Listed below
are some key staff members and their e-mail addresses. Please feel free

Volunteers
Volunteers at the U.S. Army Aviation Museum greet people at the door,
serve as library aides, help in the gift shop, and serve as tour guides.
Since the inception of the volunteer program in July 1995, these volunteers
Between July 1995 and May
1996, the volunteers have served 3,700 hours. An award cermony for
the volunteers took place during the annual Board of Directors meeting
on 15 January 1997. LTG(R) Ellis D. Parker, Chairman of the Board,
and BG Bert Tackaberry, Deputy Commanding General, presented awards to:
Walter Sabey, Joseph Rutkowski,
Richard Tierney, Marvin Guillie, Dan Bradley, and William Ruf (pictured
above).
Those receiving awards who
were not able to attend were:
Marie Veal, Lucile Godwin,
Jack Brantley, Sam Mowery, Charlie Quinn, Jack Hill, George Baker, Erica
Hayes, Luther and Imogene Weed, Nick Lopez, Bethany Lopez, Amanda Panco,
Phillip Pullum, Natalka Sparks, Henry Jenkins, Diane Brown, John Anderson,
Ashley McDaniel, Norman Laumeyer, and Jennifer Zornes.
William Ruf was presented
a free FlightLines entry for volunteering the most hours between July 1995
and December 1996 (433 hours). A total of 2,556 hours were served
by our volunteers during the same time period.
William Ruf was awarded Volunteer
of the Year for Fort Rucker for 1996. He also volunteers for the
Red Cross driving the cart at the hospital and helps with the Special Children's
bowling program.
The volunteer corps recommend
Mr. Ruff to represent them at Foundation Executive Committe and Board Meetings
and the Executive Committee unanimously voted to have him represent the
volunteers. New volunteers joining our program include:
Carl and Hildegard Gibes,
Edward Gilmore, John Kanaster, Helmut Bader, Dick Followill, David Cole,
and Jacquelyn McKinstry.
